Manage the technical operations and maintenance of its offshore fleet. The ideal candidate should have served a s a Chief Engi neer on DP2 (Dynamic Positioning Class 2) B2B vess els with a minimum of 180 days of ONGC project expos ure and possess strong technical and leadership capabiliti es.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the technical management of assigned offshore ves
- sels.Ensure compliance with Class, Flag State, statutory regulations, ISM Code, and company poli
- cies.Plan, monitor, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activi
- ties.Prepare and manage technical budgets, dry-docking schedules, and major repair activi
- ties.Coordinate with shipyards, OEMs, vendors, and vessel management teams for repairs and mainten
- ance.Monitor machinery performance, fuel efficiency, and spare parts inven
- tory.Provide technical guidance and support to onboard engineering t
- eams.Attend vessel inspections, audits, client visits,
and statutory surveys as requ
- ired.Ensure maximum vessel availability with minimum operational down time.
Eligibility Criteria
- Current Designation: Chief Engineer (Certificate of Competency mand
- atory).Vessel Type: DP2 (Agile Positioning Class 2) v
- essels.Experience: Minimum 180 days of sailing experience on ONGC projects aboard DP2 B2B (Back-to-Back) v
- essels.Strong technical knowledge of offshore support vessels and marine engineering s
- ystems.Experience in technical management, dry-docking, vessel maintenance, and budget c
- ontrol.Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Prior shore-based experience as a Technical Superintendent will be an added a
- dvantage.Ability to manage multiple vessels and work in a dynamic offshore environment.
