Key Responsibilities

- Raw Material Inspection: Test incoming scrap, raw metals, and coils for proper chemical composition before production begins. [1]
- In-Process Monitoring: Continuously check the manufacturing line (such as cold rolling, bright annealing, or welding) to prevent defects and ensure the correct temperature is maintained. [1, 2, 3]
- Mechanical & Physical Testing: Conduct tests for tensile strength (how much pulling the metal can take), hardness, and bendability. [1, 2, 3]
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Inspect the inside and outside of the steel for cracks or flaws without breaking or ruining the product, using ultrasonic or dye penetrant testing. [1, 2]
- Surface & Dimensional Checks: Measure thickness, diameter, and length, and verify a smooth surface finish. [1, 2]
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all products meet national and global standards (like ASTM or BIS) and prepare Material Test Certificates (MTC) for customers. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
