About us

Aura Smart builds India's own smart-community and security hardware — AI-powered NVRs, CCTV, and automation — designed, manufactured, and serviced in-house. We're backed by Chiratae Ventures and building the recurring-revenue AI layer that makes our platform a genuine deep-tech product. This role sits at the center of that.

What you'll work on

You'll be hands-on across our product stack, with your core focus on the software and AI that drive our recurring revenue:

- AI/ML: Build and integrate AI models for our NVR platform — video intelligence, detection, and the AI features customers pay for on a recurring basis.
- NVR platform (Linux): Work on our Node.js/Linux-based NVR software — the backend that runs our camera systems, handles video, and powers the AI wallet.
- Customer app: Help build and improve our customer-facing mobile app for iOS and Android.
- AI-assisted development: Use modern AI coding tools (Claude and similar) to build faster and smarter — we expect you to work AI-native.
- Hardware exposure (a plus, not required): Opportunity to work alongside our hardware efforts — PCB, device assembly, edge hardware — if that's an area of interest.

What we're looking for





- Solid programming fundamentals and genuine curiosity about how things work end-to-end.
- Hands-on experience or serious side projects in at least one of: AI/ML, backend/Linux systems, or mobile app development. (Depth in one beats shallow across all.)
- Comfort with Linux and command-line work.
- Experience using AI coding tools to build real things.
- Bonus: exposure to computer vision, video processing (FFmpeg/RTSP), embedded systems, or hardware.
- Self-directed — you can take a scoped problem and make progress without being told every step.
