Job Title: Bodyshop Tinker / Fitter

Department: Bodyshop – Aftersales
Location: Automobile Service Center

Job Summary

The Bodyshop Tinker/Fitter is responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicle body panels, aligning body structures, replacing damaged parts, and ensuring vehicles are restored to manufacturer quality standards while following all safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect accident-damaged vehicles and identify body repair requirements.
- Repair dents, damaged panels, and vehicle body structures using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Remove and replace damaged body parts such as doors, fenders, bumpers, bonnets, and quarter panels.
- Carry out panel alignment and body fitting as per OEM (Škoda) standards.
- Perform welding, cutting, and straightening work where required.
- Ensure proper fitment of all body components before painting.
- Coordinate with Bodyshop Advisors, Painters, and Quality Inspectors for smooth workflow.
- Maintain workshop tools and equipment in good condition.
- Follow all workshop safety procedures and quality standards.
- Complete assigned jobs within the specified turnaround time.





Required Skills

- Good knowledge of automobile body repair techniques.
- Ability to read repair estimates and job cards.
- Hands-on experience with body repair tools and welding equipment.
- Knowledge of vehicle panel alignment and fitment.
- Teamwork and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently under deadlines.

Qualification

- ITI/Diploma in Automobile, Mechanical, or relevant trade.
- Certification in Body Repair is an added advantage.

Experience

- 1–5 years of experience as a Bodyshop Tinker/Fitter in a passenger car dealership or authorized service center.

Preferred Candidate

- Experience in passenger car dealerships (Škoda, Volkswagen, Hyundai, Kia, Maruti Suzuki, Tata, Mahindra, etc.).
- Strong commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
