Head of Network Planning Fleet & Logistics Business

Role Overview

Our client is looking for a strategic and execution-oriented Network Planning Head to design and optimise transportation networks for a new-age fleet and logistics business. The role will focus on route planning, fleet utilisation, load optimisation, capacity planning, hub connectivity, and operational efficiency.

This is a critical role in establishing the planning backbone of the organisation and requires someone who has previously built planning frameworks in growing logistics environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Design transportation and logistics network models from the ground up
- Drive route planning, load balancing, vehicle utilisation, and trip optimisation
- Develop scalable network strategies aligned with business expansion plans
- Analyse lane profitability, turnaround time, route productivity, and cost structures
- Work closely with operations and business teams to improve fleet productivity
- Establish planning SOPs, scheduling mechanisms, and control towers




- Drive data-backed decision-making using analytics and operational insights
- Optimise hub-and-spoke models, delivery timelines, and network efficiencies
- Build planning dashboards and forecasting models for demand and capacity management
- Collaborate with commercial and maintenance teams for vehicle availability planning
- Identify opportunities for technology integration and automation in network planning

Candidate Profile

- 15+ years of experience in logistics planning, transportation planning, or network optimisation
- Strong experience in route planning and fleet utilisation management
- Prior experience in setting up planning frameworks in a growing logistics business preferred
- Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Exposure to transportation management systems and planning tools
- Ability to work in ambiguous and high-growth environments
- Hands-on and execution-driven mindset
