Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineering Leader to drive enterprise-scale data platform modernization initiatives for global Banking and Financial Services clients.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of data architecture, engineering leadership, cloud technologies, program delivery, stakeholder management, and team leadership.

This role involves leading strategic data transformation programs, designing modern data platforms, and mentoring high-performing engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities :

Data Platform Strategy & Architecture :

- Define and execute enterprise data platform and analytics roadmaps.
- Design scalable cloud-native data architectures leveraging AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Lead implementation of Data Lakes, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and Real-Time Data platforms.
- Establish best practices for data governance, metadata management, lineage, data quality, and security.
- Drive modernization initiatives involving Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, Kafka, and cloud-native services.

Technical Leadership :

- Provide architectural oversight across multiple data engineering programs.
- Design batch and real-time processing solutions using modern data frameworks.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, performance, and operational excellence of data platforms.
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies and best practices.

Delivery & Program Leadership :

- Lead large-scale enterprise data transformation programs.
- Drive project governance, delivery quality, budget management, and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, engineering teams, and business stakeholders.
- Champion Agile delivery methodologies and continuous improvement practices.

Client & Stakeholder Management :





- Partner with senior technology and business stakeholders to define solution roadmaps.
- Act as a trusted advisor for enterprise data strategy and modernization initiatives.
- Support pre-sales, solutioning, estimations, proposals, and client presentations.
- Drive growth opportunities within existing client accounts.

People & Practice Leadership :

- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing Data Engineering teams.
- Establish engineering standards, career development frameworks, and capability-building initiatives.
- Promote innovation, collaboration, and engineering excellence across teams.

Leadership Experience :

- 15 years of Data Engineering experience.
- Experience managing enterprise-scale delivery programs.
- Proven leadership of distributed engineering teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Prior experience working with Banking, Financial Services, Payments, Wealth Management, or Capital Markets clients.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Cloud Certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Databricks and/or Snowflake certifications.
- Experience leading large-scale data modernization and digital transformation programs.
