Role Overview:
The Procurement Lead India will be responsible for managing and driving the complete procurement function for the assigned Global Account within the Facility Management portfolio. The role requires strategic thinking, operational excellence, and strong leadership to ensure value delivery, compliance, and supplier performance across India.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Procurement & Category Management
- Lead procurement planning and execution for all Hard, Soft, and Technical Facility Management services across client sites.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with the global procurement framework and local market dynamics.
- Identify cost optimization opportunities through demand aggregation, supplier rationalization, and strategic sourcing.
- Support new site transitions with timely vendor onboarding and procurement readiness.
2. Vendor & Contract Management
- Manage the full vendor lifecycle selection, evaluation, onboarding, and performance review.
- Ensure compliance with company and client-specific vendor qualification and documentation processes.
- Drive vendor audits, renewals, and adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and statutory requirements.
- Strengthen relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability and long-term value creation.
3. Operational Procurement
- Oversee day-to-day procurement activities including PR-to-PO process, rate validation, and purchase order issuance.
- Ensure process adherence to the defined SOPs, approval matrix, and budget controls.
- Monitor and ensure timely delivery of materials, consumables, and services to operational sites.
- Maintain accurate procurement data and support finance in invoice validation and payment tracking.
4. Governance, Compliance & NDC
- Ensure 100% compliance with internal procurement policies, statutory guidelines, and client contractual obligations.
- Uphold strict adherence to NDC (Non-Disclosure & Compliance) obligations with both vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Safeguard all commercial, technical, and pricing information as confidential, ensuring no data leakage or conflict of interest.
- Conduct regular compliance reviews and vendor due diligence as per corporate governance standards.
5. Stakeholder & Client Engagement
- Act as the single point of contact for procurement matters for the assigned Global Account in India.
- Collaborate closely with the client’s procurement and operations teams to align strategies and drive joint initiatives.
- Present procurement dashboards, savings reports, and performance metrics at regular review forums.
6. Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of four procurement professionals across regions.
- Define transparent goals, monitor performance, and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Enable capability development within the team through structured learning and exposure to best practices.
