Job Title: Supervisor: Beach Marshal & Sagar Safar

Reports To : Assistant Manager Beach Marshals & Disciplinary Officer / Operations Manager

Job Overview The Supervisor Beach Marshal & Sagar Safar is responsible for supervising Beach Marshal operations and managing the Sagar Safar Educational Sea Swim & Beach Safety Outreach Program across assigned beach zones.

The role is responsible for ensuring effective deployment of Beach Marshals, maintaining discipline and BM operational document , and leading outreach initiatives to educate tourists on beach and water safety. The Supervisor shall drive tourist participation in Sagar Safar Program, ensuring that visitors receive a safe, informative, and engaging beach safety experience while promoting responsible tourism across Goa's beaches.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Beach Marshal Operations & Team Supervision

- Oversee the daily operations, deployment, and supervision of Beach Marshals across assigned beach zones to ensure efficient manpower utilization and smooth functioning.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), beach safety regulations, and service standards through regular field inspections and operational monitoring.
- Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, discipline, grooming, productivity, and performance, while fostering a culture of accountability and professionalism.
- Coordinate with Lifeguards, Police, Tourism Authorities, Wardens, emergency services, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and effective incident management.
- Lead operational briefings, respond to emergencies and public complaints, oversee the maintenance of operational assets, conduct on-the-job coaching, and ensure timely preparation of operational reports, inspection records, and compliance documentation.
- Deliver excellent visitor service by promoting a safe, welcoming,



and tourist-friendly environment while addressing visitor queries and concerns.
- Respond to operational incidents and emergencies, coordinate with relevant authorities, and ensure timely reporting and documentation.

1. Sagar Safar Outreach Program Management

- Plan, implement, and supervise the Sagar Safar Educational Sea Swim & Beach Safety Outreach Program to maximize tourist participation and promote beach safety awareness.
- Lead and guide the outreach team in delivering engaging, informative, and visitor-centric interactions while ensuring high standards of customer service and public engagement.
- Coordinate programme schedules and activities with operational teams to ensure safe, effective, and well-organized execution of outreach initiatives.
- Monitor programme performance, visitor participation, team productivity, and service quality, recommending improvements to enhance outreach effectiveness and visitor experience.
- Conduct training and mentoring for outreach personnel, ensure proper utilization and safeguarding of programme assets, and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation relating to outreach activities and programme performance.

1. Training & Development

- Train, mentor, and develop Beach Marshals and Sagar Safar personnel to enhance operational effectiveness and service quality.

1. Resource, Administration & Reporting

- Manage operational assets, maintain accurate operational records, and support audits, inspections, and Management reporting.

1. Discipline, Compliance & Safety

- Enforce discipline, ensure compliance with Company policies, SOPs, and safety standards, investigate operational issues,



and escalate risks appropriately.

Qualifications & Skills

- Graduate in any discipline (preferred).
- Certification in Tourism, Hospitality, Public Safety, Operations, or Security Management will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 35 years of experience in operations, tourism, hospitality, security supervision, public safety, marine operations, or customer-facing field operations.
- Prior experience in supervising field teams and public engagement initiatives is preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and tourist-oriented personality.
- Ability to motivate teams and engage with visitors confidently.
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of beach safety, public safety, and operational management.
- Basic computer proficiency for reporting and documentation.
- Valid driving licence preferred.
- Passion for promoting beach safety and responsible tourism.

Preferred candidate profile

- Graduate with 35 years of experience in operations, hospitality, tourism, security, or public safety.
- Solid leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Must possess a valid four-wheeler (LMV) driving licence and be able to drive.
- Physically fit and willing to work in shifts and across beaches in Goa.
- Proficient in MS Office and operational reporting/documentation
