Role Overview :

We are seeking a seasoned SDM Engineer/SME to serve as a technical authority for our core network infrastructure, specifically focusing on Nokia HSS, One-NDS, and SDL platforms. In this remote-first capacity, you will act as the primary point of escalation for complex architectural challenges, ensuring the high availability and seamless performance of subscriber data management systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams, global stakeholders, and external vendors to drive system optimizations, troubleshoot critical outages, and implement robust upgrades.

Your expertise will directly influence the reliability of our network services, ensuring that millions of users experience uninterrupted connectivity and high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and deploy complex One-NDS and SDL configurations to ensure scalable subscriber data management across the network.
- Resolve high-priority incidents and performance bottlenecks within the Nokia HSS setting to minimize downtime and maintain strict Service Level Agreements.
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of system upgrades and patch management, ensuring seamless integration with existing network elements.




- Mentor junior engineering staff by providing technical guidance on subscriber data protocols and troubleshooting methodologies to elevate overall team competency.
- Analyze system logs and traffic patterns to proactively identify potential risks, implementing preventative measures that enhance network stability.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring that network evolution aligns with long-term organizational goals.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated mastery in managing and troubleshooting Nokia HSS, One-NDS, and SDL platforms within large-scale telecommunications environments.
- Proven ability to navigate complex signaling protocols and database architectures with a focus on high-availability design.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the capacity to communicate intricate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Strong self-management skills required to thrive in a remote work environment, maintaining high productivity and clear communication across distributed teams.
- A Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or Computer Science, complemented by a track record of continuous learning in evolving network technologies.
- Minimum 6 to 12 years of hands-on experience in core network engineering, with a deep understanding of subscriber data management lifecycles.
