Subject Matter Expert Mathematics (K12)

Role Overview

We are seeking a forward-thinking Mathematics Subject Matter Expert (SME) to contribute to the development of AI-enabled, curriculum-aligned learning experiences for students across Grades K–12. The role involves designing high-quality academic content, building structured learning pathways, and developing data-driven assessments that enhance conceptual understanding and problem-solving ability.

The SME will work within a digital-first learning ecosystem, collaborating with instructional designers, product teams, and AI-assisted content tools to create scalable, engaging, and pedagogically sound mathematics learning assets.

Key Responsibilities

1. AI-Enabled Content Development

- Design and develop high-quality mathematics learning assets, including:
- Concept presentations (PPTs)
- Worksheets and practice exercises
- Interactive learning modules
- Teaching scripts and concept explanations
- Leverage AI-powered content generation tools to accelerate first-draft creation while ensuring academic accuracy through expert review.
- Structure content into learning outcomes (LOs), micro-concepts, and concept maps to support modular learning design.

2. Assessment & Question Bank Design

- Develop conceptual, analytical, and application-based questions aligned with learning objectives.
- Build and maintain structured question banks categorized by:
- Learning outcomes




- Difficulty levels
- Cognitive taxonomy (Bloom’s levels)
- Use AI-assisted tools for question generation, variation creation, and difficulty calibration.

3. Digital Curriculum Development

- Contribute to the development of data-informed learning pathways and adaptive content structures.
- Collaborate with curriculum and product teams to create interactive learning experiences.
- Integrate visual models, simulations, and real-world examples into chemistry learning content.
- Contribute to the design of concept progression maps and micro-learning modules.

4. Data-Driven Content Improvement

- Analyze student performance data and engagement metrics to identify learning gaps and content improvement opportunities.
- Continuously iterate content based on learning analytics and feedback loops.
- Maintain structured documentation of content revisions, question bank updates, and curriculum iterations.

Qualifications

- B.Tech/M.Tech, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics or related field.
- Strong understanding of K–12 mathematics curriculum across major boards.
- Experience in digital content development or EdTech platforms preferred.
- Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, generative AI platforms, or AI-assisted content tools).
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work in cooperative, agile academic environments.
