Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Strategic Procurement Engineer role based in Maharashtra.

The Strategic Procurement

Engineer will be responsible for identifying and evaluating suppliers, managing requests for quotation (RFQs), and negotiating terms to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement of materials and components for water treatment and wastewater systems. The role includes preparing and processing purchase orders, maintaining accurate procurement records, and collaborating with engineering, projects, and finance teams to align purchasing decisions with technical specifications and budget requirements.



The individual will monitor supplier performance, address quality or delivery issues, and support continuous improvement in the supply chain.

The position also involves market research for new vendors, supporting inventory optimization, and adherence to organizational procurement policies and ethical standards.

Qualifications - Candidates should possess strong Supplier Evaluation and RFQ management skills, including vendor assessment and quotation analysis.

- Candidates should possess experience in Purchase Orders and procurement documentation, including order processing and record keeping.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills for cost comparison, data-driven decision-making, and process improvement.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and negotiations with suppliers.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience in procurement or supply chain within industrial equipment, water treatment, or environmental engineering sectors is beneficial.
- Knowledge of ERP or procurement software, basic contract terms, and quality standards related to industrial projects is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site , manage multiple priorities, and adhere to safety and compliance requirements.
