Position Title: Assistant Manager to Manager Level

Department: Store & Supply Chain Management Department (Central Stores)

Location: Sonipat, Haryana

Role Summary The role is responsible for overseeing non-technical store operations across the university. The role ensures effective inventory management, compliance, and seamless coordination with internal stakeholders to support academic and administrative functions. The incumbent will act as the deputy to the Store Head and ensure effective supervision of material lifecycle management, from procurement to utilization and disposal.

Functional Scope

Store Management including

Furniture & Appliances, Events, Information Technology, Audio Visual, Stationery, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping & FMT, Housing, Guest House, Security, Studio, Health Centre, Prime Offices (VC & Registrar Office), all Schools, and other non-technical departments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervision and monitoring of the entire process, from initiation to the final stage of all materials/assets.
2. Inspection of materials/assets along with the user department and vendors against purchase orders in terms of quantity and quality.
3. Overall supervision of stacking, labelling, segregation, and storage of stock.




4. Maintain real-time inventory updates.
5. Ensure maintenance of minimum stock levels.
6. Supervision of periodic audits across all areas of the university.
7. Ensure real-time physical stock reconciliation and availability.
8. Supervision of the receipt and issuance of stock materials.
9. Coordination with user departments, procurement, finance, and other stakeholders.
10. Vendor development for scrap management and resale of materials.
11. Supervision of all documentation and record-keeping, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
12. Supervision and verification of GRNs, gate passes, bills, material issue notes, disposal documents, NFA, comparative statements, and basic data entry.
13. Supervision and verification of all system entries executed by junior staff.
14. Maintenance of real-time MIS.

Qualifications & Experience

- Graduate with a Diploma/Degree in Materials Management or Supply Chain Management
- Experience: 7+ years in store management, inventory control, or supply chain operations
- Experience in large institutions/universities preferred
