Roles and Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end store operations, including receipt, storage, issue, and inventory control of engineering materials and spares.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Oversee inward/outward material movement, GRN, documentation, and ERP transactions.
- Implement inventory control practices such as FIFO, ABC analysis, cycle counting, and stock reconciliation.
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Planning, Quality, and Logistics for timely material availability.
- Monitor slow-moving and obsolete inventory and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety, 5S, audit requirements, and company policies.
- Prepare inventory MIS reports and drive process improvements for cost and space optimization.
- Lead and develop the stores team while ensuring adherence to SOPs and operational efficiency.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 10-15 years of experience in engineering stores or similar environment.
- MBA/PGDM degree from a reputed institution with any specialization.
- Solid knowledge of engineering spare parts, engine components, refrigeration parts, industrial equipment, and MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) inventory.




- Hands-on experience in inventory planning, material receipts, storage, issue management, stock verification, cycle counting, and inventory reconciliation.
- Well-versed in inventory control techniques such as FIFO, FEFO, ABC analysis, Min-Max levels, and Reorder Point (ROP).
- Experience in managing engineering stores, maintaining optimum inventory levels, and ensuring uninterrupted material availability for production.
- Sound knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, BAAN, or equivalent) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Good understanding of statutory requirements, store documentation, audit compliance, and inventory accuracy.
- Proven ability to lead and develop store teams, implement process improvements, and drive operational efficiency.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with a focus on inventory optimization and cost control.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with Production, Purchase, Quality, Planning, and Finance teams.
- Experience in interacting with domestic and international suppliers for material coordination and issue resolution will be an added advantage.
