Job Summary The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, sales performance, profitability, customer experience, inventory management, and team leadership of the store. The role requires ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while driving business growth, maintaining operational excellence, and delivering exceptional customer service in line with company standards and policies.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations Management

- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the store to ensure smooth business functioning.
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, attractive, and fully compliant with company standards.
- Monitor the performance and operations of all departments, including FMCG, Fresh Food & Vegetables, Bakery, Non-Food, Lifestyle, and other business units.
- Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed as per company guidelines.
- Maintain store hygiene, safety, security, and operational compliance at all times.
- Implement and monitor adherence to company SOPs across all departments.

Sales & Business Development

- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and profitability targets.
- Analyze sales performance, margins, inventory turnover, and shrinkage reports.
- Plan and execute promotional activities, merchandising initiatives, and sales campaigns to maximize revenue.
- Conduct regular market surveys and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for business growth.




- Recommend and implement strategies to improve store performance and customer engagement.

Customer Experience & Service Excellence

- Ensure high standards of customer service throughout the store.
- Address customer complaints and escalations promptly and professionally.
- Drive customer satisfaction and loyalty initiatives.
- Promote and monitor customer loyalty program registrations and engagement activities.

Team Leadership & People Management

- Lead, motivate, coach, and develop store employees to achieve operational and business objectives.
- Ensure adequate manpower planning and staffing based on business requirements.
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, training sessions, and operational briefings.
- Monitor employee attendance, discipline, grooming standards, and productivity.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, employee development, and performance management processes in coordination with HR.
- Prepare duty rosters and ensure optimal workforce utilization.

Inventory & Stock Management

- Ensure optimum stock availability across all categories.
- Monitor stock replenishment, stock rotation, and inventory accuracy.
- Ensure strict implementation of FIFO and FEFO practices where applicable.
- Manage aging stock, out-of-stock situations, and inventory-related issues.
- Control shrinkage, wastage, damages, and stock losses.




- Oversee GRN processes, stock counts, audits, reconciliations, and inventory controls.

Financial & Administrative Control

- Monitor and control store operating expenses in line with approved budgets.
- Review and approve operational expenses and business requirements within authorized limits.
- Ensure timely submission of operational, financial, and compliance reports.
- Coordinate effectively with Head Office and relevant departments on operational and financial matters.

Compliance, Safety & Governance

- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, statutory regulations, and audit requirements.
- Maintain a safe working workplace for employees and customers.
- Ensure all statutory licenses, permits, and certifications are valid, renewed on time, and properly displayed.
- Lead compliance initiatives and ensure readiness for internal and external audits.
