Key Responsibilities

- Manage receipt of materials at site: verify quantities and quality against PO / delivery challans, arrange third-party test samples where required, and record GRNs promptly.

- Plan and maintain organised, safe and weather-appropriate storage for cement, steel, Mivan formwork components, MEP materials, finishing materials, fuel, and consumables.

- Issue materials against authorised indents only; maintain issue registers, bin cards and stock ledgers (manual and ERP).

- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconciliation against book stock; investigate and report discrepancies.

- Track free-issue material given to contractors and reconcile consumption with the billing team.

- Maintain minimum / maximum stock levels and give timely procurement triggers to the Purchase team to avoid work stoppage.

- Control scrap, empties (cement bags, drums), returnable items and formwork accessories; manage scrap disposal per company policy.

- Maintain records of tools, plant & machinery spares, calibration items, and safety materials (PPE) stock.

- Ensure store safety and security fire precautions,



restricted access, proper stacking heights and housekeeping; supervise storekeepers and helpers.

Skills & Competencies

- Thorough knowledge of construction materials, their storage norms, shelf life and handling requirements.

- Hands-on experience with inventory / stores modules of ERP systems (SAP / Farvision / Highrise or similar) and MS Excel.

- Robust documentation, reconciliation and audit-handling capability.

- Team supervision skills and ability to coordinate with purchase, billing, execution and security teams.

- High personal integrity and vigilance against pilferage and wastage.

Qualification & Experience

- Graduate in any discipline; diploma / certification in materials or stores management preferred.

- 8–12 years of construction-site stores experience, with at least 3–5 years as store in-charge on a large residential / high-rise project.

- Experience handling Mivan formwork inventory is a distinct advantage.
