- 3–5 years of experience in storage administration or IT infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills. ________________________________________ Job Summary: The Storage Administrator is responsible for designing, deploying, administering, and supporting enterprise storage environments. This role ensures that storage systems are secure, highly available, and optimized for performance to support business applications and IT operations.

The Storage

Administrator collaborates with IT infrastructure, network, and application teams to ensure data integrity, disaster recovery readiness, and compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain SAN, NAS, DAS, HPE Scality Storage, and cloud storage solutions.
- Manage storage arrays from vendors such as HPE and Dell EMC.
- Monitor storage system performance, health, and capacity utilization.
- Provision storage volumes, LUNs, and file shares to servers, virtual machines, and applications.
- Configure SAN switches, including ISL zoning, creating zones/zone sets, ensuring proper connectivity, redundancy, and optimal performance.
- Manage storage-based replication and conduct firmware, patch, and software upgrades with minimal downtime.
- Optimize storage tiers for performance and cost efficiency (SSD, HDD, cloud).
- Collaborate with server, virtualization, network, and application teams for storage integration and troubleshooting.
- Provide 24/7 on-call support for storage-related incidents.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of storage architecture, configuration, and SOPs.




- Perform L3-level troubleshooting and resolve complex storage issues. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ensure storage systems comply with security policies, access controls, encryption, and audit requirements.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and participate in compliance audits.
- Design, implement, and maintain backup and recovery strategies to meet RTO/RPO objectives.
- Configure and manage HPE Scality Storage replication and perform administrative tasks.
- Conduct data restores and ensure critical system recoverability.
- Support disaster recovery (DR) planning, replication, and failover testing.
- Perform installation, configuration, and administration of HPE Block Storage and HPE Scality storage arrays.
- Configure and manage HPE Scality RING storage solutions, including object storage, replication policies, and multi-site setups.
- Set up and manage HPE Scality replication, erasure coding, bucket management, replication and bucket lifecycle policies for optimal data protection.
- Monitor HPE Storage performance metrics, troubleshoot issues, and tune storage I/O for critical applications.
- Manage HPE storage snapshots, clones, and replication tasks to ensure fast recovery and minimal data loss.
- Conduct firmware, patch, and software upgrades specifically for HPE storage solutions with zero or minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with teams for integration of HPE storage with VMware, Hyper-V, and cloud storage platforms.
- Prepare HPE storage capacity reports, predictive growth planning, and performance trend analysis.
- Ability to manage HPE storage security features, including access controls,



encryption, and audit compliance.
- Proficiency in storage performance tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting for HPE systems.

Key Responsibilities (SAN Switch Administrator Focus):

- Install, configure, and maintain Fibre Channel (FC) and FCoE SAN switches from vendors like Brocade, and HPE.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Create, manage, and optimize zoning, zone sets, and VSANs to ensure proper host-to-storage connectivity and redundancy.
- Configure Inter-Switch Links (ISLs) for high availability and load balancing between SAN switches.
- Monitor SAN switch health, port utilization, and fabric performance using vendor management tools.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues, path failures, and performance bottlenecks in the SAN environment.
- Perform firmware upgrades, patches, and configuration backups on SAN switches.
- Maintain documentation of SAN switch topology, configuration, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with storage and server teams to ensure storage provisioning and high-availability connectivity.
- Support SAN switch integration with virtualized environments (KVM , Hyper-V) and backup solutions.
- Implement security policies, access controls, and audit logging on SAN fabrics.

• Storage system uptime and availability (>99.9%).
- Successful completion of scheduled backups and DR tests.
- Response and resolution times for storage incidents.
- Efficient storage utilization and reduction of unnecessary storage costs.
- Compliance with security and regulatory requirements.

Work Environment

• Primarily office-based with some on-call or after-hours responsibilities.
- May involve handling, installation, or movement of storage hardware.
