1. Aptitude towards problem solving and troubleshooting skills on Storage, SAN/NAS connectivity, backup software, Virtualization including log analysis.
2. Excellent product knowledge and troubleshooting skills on atleast one of the following SAN,NAS or Object.
3. Good to have Knowledge of backup technologies commvault, netbackup, HP data protector.
4. Knowledge on Replication technlogy/DR
5. Valuable to have basic Operating systems and Networking knowledge
6. Storage related experience in Unix/Linux and windows.
7. Storage related experience on Virtualization
8. Managed and configured backups using Azure Recovery Services Vault for Azure VMs and critical workloads( Azure VM , SQL DB) etc.
9. Designed backup policies, retention strategies, and recovery procedures aligned with business RPO/RTO requirements
10. Enabled security features such as soft delete, immutable vault,



and multi-user authorization to protect against ransomware
11. Monitored backup jobs, performed restore operations, and resolved backup failures
12. Administered and supported NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP in cloud environments (Azure/AWS)
13. Managed storage volumes, aggregates, quotas, and storage efficiency features
14. Implemented data protection using Snapshots, SnapMirror, and SnapVault
15. Configured and monitored backup jobs, schedules, and storage policies
16. Performed file-level, VM-level, and basic application restores
17. Managed media agents, storage libraries, and retention policies
18. Troubleshot backup and restore failures, analyzing logs and resolving issues
19. Assisted in audit readiness and ensured compliance.
