Job Location - Punawale, Pune

Job Summary The Steel Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating all reinforcement steel (rebar) and structural steel activities at construction sites. The role ensures that steel work is executed according to approved drawings, project specifications, safety standards, and construction schedules while maintaining high quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and manage all reinforcement steel and structural steel installation activities.
- Interpret structural drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS), and project specifications.
- Allocate daily tasks to steel fixers and subcontractors.
- Ensure correct cutting, bending, placing, tying, and fixing of reinforcement steel.
- Coordinate with civil engineers, shuttering/formwork teams, MEP teams, and contractors to ensure smooth workflow.
- Verify steel quantities and monitor material consumption to minimize wastage.
- Conduct inspections to ensure steel placement complies with approved drawings before concrete pouring.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.
- Maintain daily progress reports, manpower records, and work schedules.
- Identify and resolve site-related issues affecting steel work.
- Ensure availability of tools, equipment, and materials required for daily activities.




- Monitor productivity and recommend improvements to meet project deadlines.
- Participate in site meetings and provide progress updates.

Qualifications

- Diploma or ITI in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related trade.
- Additional certifications in construction supervision or safety are an advantage.

Experience

- 5 -10 years of experience in reinforcement steel works or structural steel construction.
- Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Experience in residential, commercial, or mixed-use real estate projects is preferred.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of reinforcement detailing and bar bending schedules (BBS).
- Ability to read and interpret structural and construction drawings.
- Good leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of construction quality standards and inspection procedures.
- Understanding of workplace safety regulations and protected work practices.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Basic computer knowledge for reporting is desirable.
