Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a SQL Server and MySQL Developer at AI CERTs®. The developer will design, develop, and maintain SQL Server and MySQL databases to support certification platforms, analytics, and internal applications.

Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and optimizing database schemas, writing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions, and implementing robust data models for performance and scalability. The role involves building and managing ETL processes, ensuring data quality and integrity across multiple systems, and troubleshooting database issues in collaboration with engineering, data, and product teams. The developer will also contribute to performance tuning,



security best practices, backup and recovery strategies, and documentation of database structures and processes.

Qualifications

- Strong database development skills, including experience with SQL Server and MySQL and building production-grade database solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes, including data integration, data cleansing, and automation of data pipelines.
- Proficiency in database design and data modeling, with the ability to create normalized and denormalized schemas that support performance and scalability.
- Demonstrated analytical skills to interpret data requirements, optimize queries, and diagnose performance and reliability issues.
- Experience with performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization in SQL Server and MySQL environments.
- Familiarity with database security, access control, backup, recovery, and high-availability configurations.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team environment, with robust written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell), or BI/reporting tools is a plus.
- Interest in AI, blockchain, and education technology, and willingness to learn new tools and frameworks as needed.
