Location: Remote (Based in a metro city)

Salary range: 5.5 - 7 LPA

General Purpose of the Position To implement India’s food policy program to promote plant-based food which aims to educate individual consumers and organizations on the impacts of their food choices and encourage them to consume more plant-based foods. Promote the replacement of animal–based food with plant–based food in hospitality institutions and corporate offices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Coordinates with the Farm Animal Protection department to implement a comprehensive Plant based Outreach program and communications strategy to promote plant-based diets in corporate offices and hospitality industry. Implements objectives as well as short- and long-range planning for individual outreach activities. (30%)
2. Identifies opportunities and organizes participation in events (such as MOU, culinary competitions, animal law trainings, and stall exhibitions) at universities, food and hospitality events in the Country. (20%)
3. Coordinates program strategy with District Administration, State Public Health Department, Hospitals, Corporate Workplaces and other institutions to promote plant-based commitments. (20%)
4. Organizes and presents at technical webinars, workshops,



conferences and other forums; authoring review articles and other briefing materials; and initiatives, as needed. (10%)
5. Coordinates with key government stakeholders at district, state and central government levels to promote organization messaging. (10%)
6. Participates as needed in governmental, corporate and expert meetings, media interviews, and other public-facing activities. (10%)
7. Performs other duties or responsibilities, as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience required.
2. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in animal protection work required.
3. Corporate experience of at least 2-3 years required.

Other Important Skills

- Comprehensive knowledge of and robust interest in the farm animal protection issues preferred.
- Broad base of contacts amongst institutions including corporates and hospitality industry preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and negotiating.
- Strong interpersonal skills are necessary.
- Ability to communicate complex subject matter to a variety of audiences.
- Experience in report writing and collating data on report writing.
- Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally, as needed.
- Proficiency in MS Office
