Our product portfolio includes stone-ground atta, wood-pressed oils, spices, pulses, and dry fruits crafted with purity, sustainability, and wellness at the core.

Founded by the CEO of Milkbasket and Founder of Veggie India, the client combines decades of expertise in grocery innovation, sourcing, and last-mile delivery to redefine how India shops for everyday essentials.

About the Role

As the Sourcing & Category Manager , you'll own the end-to-end sourcing and category management for key product categories. You'll work directly with suppliers, manufacturers, and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality products, competitive pricing, and a reliable supply chain.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys negotiating with vendors, identifying sourcing opportunities, and building scalable procurement processes in a fast-growing consumer brand.

What You'll Do

- Own sourcing strategy across assigned product categories.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard manufacturers and suppliers across India.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, contracts, and payment conditions.
- Build solid supplier relationships to ensure quality, consistency, and timely deliveries.
- Analyze category performance, pricing trends, and market opportunities.
- Work closely with operations, quality,



and product teams to manage inventory planning and demand forecasting.
- Monitor procurement costs and identify opportunities for margin improvement.
- Conduct regular supplier audits and performance reviews.
- Track commodity prices, industry trends, and competitor assortments to drive category growth.

What We're Looking For

- 2–5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, category management, or vendor management.
- Experience in FMCG, food, grocery, D2C, retail, agriculture, or consumer products is preferred.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good understanding of procurement processes and supply chain fundamentals.
- Comfortable working with data and making commercial decisions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience sourcing food products, agricultural commodities, spices, grains, edible oils, or dry fruits.
- Familiarity with supplier networks across India.
- Experience working with ERP systems or procurement tools is a plus.
- MBA or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Commerce, Business, or a related field.
