Key Responsibilities:

- Work with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
- Create end-to-end solution designs including architecture diagrams, interface definitions, and technical documentation.
- Define integration approaches across systems using API-led and service-based patterns.
- Ensure designs meet non-functional requirements such as security, performance, availability, resilience, and maintainability.
- Evaluate architectural options and recommend approaches by balancing cost, risk, time, and delivery constraints.
- Provide technical direction during implementation to ensure solutions are delivered in line with the agreed architecture.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and constraints early; propose mitigation plans and track them through delivery.
- Support proof-of-concepts to validate high-risk or uncertain architectural decisions when needed.
- Maintain architecture decision records and ensure key design choices and trade-offs are clearly documented.





Required Skills &

Competencies (Must Have):

- End-to-end solution architecture and design ownership across multiple components and teams.
- Solid ability to translate business requirements into technical designs and clear delivery guidance.
- Solid understanding of integration patterns, APIs, and service communication principles.
- Knowledge of security fundamentals (authentication, authorization, secure design, data protection).
- Ability to define and validate non-functional requirements (performance, resilience, scalability, operability).
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience producing architecture artefacts (high-level designs, diagrams, design specs, decision logs).
- Delivery mindset: able to work with engineering teams through build, test, and release to ensure architecture intent is met.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

- Cloud architecture exposure and understanding of cloud-native design concepts (GCP).
- Familiarity with distributed systems concepts such as microservices, asynchronous processing, and event-driven approaches.
- Experience with architecture governance, design reviews, and technical assurance processes.
- Exposure to DevOps practices and operational considerations (monitoring, logging, supportability).
- Experience modernising legacy systems or supporting transition/migration initiatives.




- Ability to mentor engineers and promote architectural best practices across teams.

Priority:

- P1: Expertise in Microservices (Java SpringBoot) & API based architecture in one of the Cloud Platforms preferably GCP using appropriate frameworks/software patterns, security fundamentals (authentication, authorization, secure design, data protection), Experience producing architecture artefacts (high-level designs, diagrams, design specs, decision logs)
- P2: Should have good experience in designing applications using Event Driven Architectures & Streaming Platforms
- P3: Exposure to DevOps practices and operational considerations (monitoring, logging, Observability), data architecture.
