The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing scalable automation frameworks, API and UI testing, data validation, and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. This role requires a quality-first mindset with hands-on coding experience and exposure to AI-assisted development tools.

As a technical leader, you will be responsible for driving technical excellence, mentoring developers, ensuring high-quality code delivery, and collaborating with architects, product owners, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities Lead a team of SDET engineers through the complete software development lifecycle.

Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, Cucumber BDD, and Serenity BDD.

Develop and execute automated UI and API test suites using REST Assured.

Validate data using SQL and perform testing across data platforms, ETL processes, data pipelines, MDM, and Data APIs.

Execute end-to-end testing including Unit, Integration, API, Smoke, System, Regression, and Performance Testing.

Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and quality gates.

Create and maintain reusable automation libraries, utilities, and reporting dashboards.

Develop automation solutions for enterprise applications built using Java and Spring Boot.

Participate in requirement analysis, user story refinement, sprint planning, and test strategy discussions.

Manage test data, test execution, defect lifecycle,



and quality metrics across multiple environments.

Collaborate closely with developers, data engineers, DevOps teams, and product owners in Agile delivery teams.

Leverage AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude to improve automation productivity and code quality.

Support release validation and deployment activities across development, QA, and production environments.

Estimate work, plan sprint activities, identify risks, and ensure timely delivery of commitments.

Mentor and coach junior and mid-level developers through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Resolve complex production issues and provide technical support during critical releases.

Communicate project status, technical decisions, and delivery progress with business stakeholders and onshore teams.

Continuously improve engineering practices, application performance, security, and scalability.

Required Skills & Experience 7+ years of experience as an SDET / QA Automation Engineer.

Strong hands-on experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks using:

Java

Selenium WebDriver

Cucumber BDD

Serenity BDD

REST Assured

Good programming skills in Java with experience in automation framework architecture and reusable component development.

Experience with Spring Boot applications and backend testing.

Strong SQL skills with experience in:

Data validation

Test data creation

Database testing

ETL testing

Data warehouse testing

Master Data Management (MDM)





Data pipelines and Data APIs

Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, defect management, and quality metrics.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar).

Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and in-sprint automation practices.

Experience with release deployments and testing across multiple environments.

Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.

Leadership & Soft Skills Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Ability to drive technical discussions and influence architectural decisions.

Strong ownership mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Good to Have React application testing experience.

Knowledge of API design and architecture.

Performance testing exposure (JMeter or similar tools).

Experience with Test Management tools such as Jira, Zephyr, or Xray.

Experience with Docker or Kubernetes environments.

Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
