Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable WebGIS applications and custom geospatial tools using open-source GIS technologies.
- Develop responsive web applications and integrate front-end components with REST APIs (.NET Core or equivalent frameworks) and third-party GIS APIs such as MapMyIndia or similar platforms.
- Design and optimize spatial databases using PostgreSQL/PostGIS or MS SQL Server.
- Write advanced SQL queries and implement database performance optimization techniques.
- Follow Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and Agile development methodologies.
- Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, UML-based design activities, and UI/UX collaboration.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and application performance tuning.
- Manage source code repositories using Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
- Develop GIS applications capable of handling raster and vector datasets and integrating with WebGIS portals.
- Utilize AI tools, AI agents, MCP servers, and GeoAI workflows to accelerate software development and geospatial analysis.
- Implement real-time geospatial processing solutions and support AI/ML-based GIS applications.
- Develop and maintain 3D/WebGL GIS applications and mobile GIS solutions.




- Handle large-scale spatial datasets and ensure application scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Troubleshoot and optimize GIS applications across backend, frontend, and database layers.

Essential Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech

OR

- Postgraduate Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent qualification.

Essential Experience-
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in GIS application development across web and client-server environments.
- Hands-on experience with OpenLayers, Leaflet, or Mapbox for GIS application development.
- Proficiency in Angular or React frameworks.
- Robust programming skills in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience across the complete software development lifecycle including system design, development, deployment, testing, and maintenance.

Desirable Skills & Experience :-
- Custom development of Enterprise GIS Servers such as ArcGIS/Apollo GIS.
- Working knowledge of spatial database handling.
- Experience in designing GIS components.
- Server-side programming in Open-Source GIS or ArcGIS Server.
- Working knowledge of Spatial Indexing.
- Knowledge and experience with Web Services, Open Standards, XML, and GML/KML.
- Experience with GeoServer and GeoWebCache.
- Good understanding of WFS, WMS, and WCS services.
- Expertise in performing geospatial operations at the backend, frontend, and database levels.
- Experience in development using AI tools.
