We are looking for a Software Download Engineer with experience in automotive embedded systems to develop, integrate, and validate CAN-based bootloaders for Electronic Control Units (ECUs). The ideal candidate should have strong Embedded C programming skills, hands-on experience with CAPL scripting, and a solid understanding of UDS diagnostics and ECU reprogramming. Exposure to AUTOSAR architecture will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, and maintain CAN-based bootloader software for automotive ECUs.
- Implement and support ECU software download and reprogramming using the UDS (ISO 14229) protocol.
- Develop embedded software using C for automotive applications.
- Create and execute CAPL scripts using Vector CANoe/CANalyzer for validation and automation.
- Perform debugging and troubleshooting of CAN communication and bootloader-related issues.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate bootloader software with AUTOSAR-based applications.
- Validate firmware flashing, software updates, and diagnostic communication.
- Participate in software testing, code reviews, and defect resolution.
- Prepare technical documentation and support software integration activities.
Required Skills
- 1–4 years of experience in automotive embedded software development.
- Experience in CAN-based bootloader development and integration.
- Good understanding of CAPL programming.
- Strong knowledge of UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services) and ECU reprogramming sequences.
- Strong programming skills in Embedded C.
- Good understanding of CAN protocol and automotive diagnostics.
- Experience with Vector tools such as CANoe and CANalyzer.
- Knowledge of software debugging and integration techniques.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Classic AUTOSAR architecture.
- Exposure to ECU flashing tools and firmware update mechanisms.
- Familiarity with automotive software development lifecycle and embedded systems.
- Understanding of ISO 14229 and automotive communication protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
