We are looking for two skilled and detail-oriented Lab Chemists to join our SMS Steel Melting Shop Laboratory The selected candidates will be responsible for testing and analyzing raw materials HMS sponge iron intermediate products and finished billets to ensure chemical composition meets production and quality standards Key Responsibilities Conduct chemical analysis of raw materials HMS sponge iron molten metal and finished MS billets Operate and maintain lab equipment such as spectrometers carbon-sulfur analyzers and other analytical tools Monitor and record results accurately in lab registers or digital systems Ensure timely reporting of results to the production and quality control teams Assist in calibrating lab instruments and ensuring compliance with internal lab protocols Follow safety environmental and quality standards as per company policy Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the laboratory Candidate Requirements B Sc M Sc in Chemistry or Diploma in Metallurgy or equivalent 2-5 years of experience in a steel plant laboratory preferably in SMS or Billet manufacturing setup Working knowledge of spectrometer analysis and wet chemistry methods Good understanding of steel grades composition ranges and quality norms Basic computer skills for report entry and analysis Attention to detail discipline and a strong sense of responsibility Salary Benefits Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications Prospect to work in a up-to-date integrated steel manufacturing environment Accommodation and food facility may be provided if applicable Career growth within the quality control and metallurgy division Job Types Full time Permanent Pay 25 000 00 - 35 000 00 per month Benefits Paid time off Provident Fund Schedule Day shift Night shift Rotational shift Supplemental Pay Overtime pay Yearly bonus Ability to commute relocate Bhachau Gujarat Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work Required Application Question s Do you have experience in steel manufacturing unit Do you have experience of Chemical testing of raw materials HMS sponge iron molten metal and finished billets Do you have experience of Operate laboratory equipment like spectrometer carbon-sulfur analyzer and other analytical instruments Location Bhachau Gujarat Required Shift availability Night Shift Required Work Location In person
