Minimum Education Qualification: SSLC
Experience: 10 years of core experience
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and run the daily sampling line to meet strict buyer submission deadlines.
- Review incoming Tech Packs, Bills of Materials (BOM), and patterns before issuing garments to sample tailors.
- Plan line layouts, balance operations, and assign tasks to tailors based on operational complexity and skill matrices.
- Manage workflow across all sample phases
- Identify potential bulk production challenges during early sample assembly and provide practical technical feedback to Pattern Makers and Technical Designers.
- Work with line mechanics to ensure correct machinery setups, folder attachments, guides, presser feet, and tension settings for various fabrics.
- Conduct operation breakdown and assist in establishing Standard Minute Values (SMV)
for sample styles.
- Enforce Right First Time (RFT) quality standards, verifying measurement accuracy, Stitches Per Inch (SPI), seam strength, and construction aesthetics.
- Perform inline checks and root-cause analysis on rejections or alterations to eliminate recurring sewing defects.
- Ensure strict adherence to buyer-specific technical manuals and quality guidelines. 5. Floor Discipline & Continuous Improvement
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate sample tailors and operators.
- Maintain clean, protected, and organized working environments adhering to 5S and Lean Manufacturing practices.
- Track daily line output, line efficiency, and tailor productivity logs.
