ServiceNow SAM Operations Analyst

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow SAM Operations Analyst to manage and optimize software assets using ServiceNow SAM Pro. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), software licensing, compliance, audits, and license optimization. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure effective software asset governance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage software assets and license records using ServiceNow SAM Pro.
- Track software entitlements, license consumption, and compliance status.
- Perform software license audits, reconciliations, and true-up activities.
- Identify opportunities for software license optimization to reduce costs and improve utilization.
- Generate compliance, utilization, and operational reports for stakeholders.
- Monitor the complete software asset lifecycle and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Vendor Management, IT, and Technology teams to support software governance initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements, policies, and industry best practices.




- Recommend process improvements to enhance Software Asset Management operations.

Required Skills
- 4–7 years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) or IT Asset Management (ITAM).
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro.
- Strong understanding of software licensing models, entitlements, compliance, and governance.
- Experience conducting software audits, reconciliations, and license optimization activities.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with enterprise Software Asset Management processes.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow ITSM modules.
- Knowledge of ITIL best practices.
- Experience working with major software vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, VMware, or IBM.
