Role & responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

Server Administration

- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Windows Server and Linux Server environments.

- Manage physical and virtual server infrastructure.

- Perform server health monitoring and preventive maintenance.

- Configure RAID, storage volumes, and server hardware.

- Manage server firmware and BIOS updates.

Active Directory &

- Identity Management

- Install and administer Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS).

- Manage Group Policies (GPO), DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and Organizational Units.

- Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies.

- Implement Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) where required.

Virtualization

- Deploy and manage VMware ESXi, vCenter, and Microsoft Hyper-V.

- Perform VM provisioning, migration, snapshots, cloning, and resource optimization.

- Monitor virtual infrastructure performance.

Storage Management

- Configure and manage SAN, NAS, DAS, and storage arrays.

- Perform storage allocation, expansion, and optimization.

- Monitor storage utilization and performance.

Backup &

- Disaster Recovery

- Implement enterprise backup solutions.

- Configure automated backup schedules.

- Perform backup verification and restoration testing.

- Maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) documentation and procedures.

Cloud Infrastructure

- Support Microsoft Azure, AWS, and hybrid cloud environments.

- Configure cloud virtual machines and storage.

- Manage cloud identity integration and backup services.

Server Security

- Implement server hardening as per industry best practices.

- Manage antivirus, endpoint protection,



and patch management.

- Configure Windows Firewall and security policies.

- Perform vulnerability remediation.

Monitoring &

- Performance

- Monitor CPU, Memory, Disk, Network, and server health.

- Identify performance bottlenecks.

- Generate capacity planning reports.

- Perform performance tuning.

Email &

- Collaboration

- Support Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft 365.

- Configure mailbox migration.

- Manage mail flow and troubleshooting.

Documentation

- Maintain server inventory.

- Prepare installation reports.

- Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

- Update configuration documentation and asset records.

Client Support

- Provide onsite and remote server support.

- Handle server incidents and critical outages.

- Participate in major infrastructure deployments.

- Ensure SLA compliance.
