Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accessibility Tester with a strong background in digital accessibility testing and compliance standards. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with industry-standard accessibility testing tools, a deep understanding of accessibility regulations, and expertise in evaluating digital products against WCAG guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive accessibility testing for web and mobile applications.
- Validate applications against WCAG standards and accessibility compliance requirements.
- Conduct manual accessibility testing using industry-standard assistive technologies.
- Identify, document, and track accessibility defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Developers, Business Analysts, and cross-functional teams to ensure accessibility compliance.
- Provide recommendations and guidance for accessibility improvements.
- Ensure compliance with global accessibility regulations and standards.
Mandatory Skills
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Accessibility Testing.
- Solid hands-on experience with:
- JAWS
- ZoomText
- Dragon Naturally Speaking
- Experience using mobile accessibility features:
- VoiceOver (iOS)
- TalkBack (Android)
- Strong understanding of:
- WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines)
- Section 508
- UK Disability Act
- European Accessibility Act (EAA)
- Solid knowledge of different disability types and their impact on user experience.
- Experience working with Project Managers and cross-functional teams throughout the software testing lifecycle.
- Strong manual accessibility testing experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- IAAP Certifications such as:
- CPACC
- WAS
- CPWA
