About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented News Editor to join our Power & Energy research team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong foundation in journalism and mass communication, coupled with an interest in India's power and energy sector. This role requires the ability to analyze complex regulatory developments, translate technical information into clear and engaging content, and contribute to industry-leading publications and research reports.

Key Responsibilities Monitor and track developments across the power and energy sector, including policy changes, regulatory updates, tenders, and market announcements. Analyze and interpret regulatory orders, tariff petitions, consultation papers, notifications, and other documents issued by central and state regulatory commissions, government agencies, utilities, and related authorities. Prepare news articles, analytical briefs, summaries, and feature stories for internal and external publications.

Research, write, edit, and proofread content for industry magazines, newsletters, reports, and special publications. Coordinate with analysts and subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy and editorial quality. Develop engaging, fact-based content tailored for industry professionals and stakeholders.

Maintain editorial standards, ensure factual accuracy, and adhere to publication timelines. Build and maintain a structured repository of regulatory and industry developments.



Support the editorial team in planning content calendars, thematic reports, and special editions.

Stay updated on emerging trends in the electricity, renewable energy, transmission, distribution, and energy storage sectors.

Mandatory Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, or a related field . Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Strong research, editing, and analytical abilities. Ability to comprehend and simplify technical and regulatory documents.

Writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Robust analytical and critical thinking abilities. Ability to work with large volumes of information and identify key developments. Attention to detail and commitment to factual accuracy.
