Role Description: The Senior Technical SEO role is a full time, hybrid position based in Chennai, with flexibility for some work-from-home days. This role is responsible for auditing and optimizing the technical health of ELO House’s websites, including site architecture, crawlability, indexation, page speed, and structured data.

The Senior

Technical SEO will collaborate with developers, designers, and content teams to implement SEO-friendly code changes, improve internal linking, and resolve technical issues impacting organic performance. Daily tasks include monitoring search console and analytics data, managing XML sitemaps and robots.txt, conducting log file and backlink analyses, and identifying opportunities for schema markup and mobile performance improvements. The role also involves creating technical SEO documentation, defining best practices, and mentoring team members on SEO standards that support ELO House’s growth across the Real Estate, Travel, and Hospitality segments.

Qualifications:





- Strong technical SEO expertise, including site audits, crawl and indexation management, canonicalization, structured data/schema markup, and handling duplicate content.
- Proficiency with SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog or similar crawlers, keyword and backlink analysis tools).
- Solid understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript basics, CMS platforms, and their impact on SEO; ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- Experience optimizing site speed and Core Web Vitals, mobile responsiveness, internal linking, and URL structure for large or growing websites.
- Demonstrated ability to use data to drive decisions, including strong analytical skills, reporting, and clear communication of technical recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
- Background in or familiarity with Real Estate, Travel, or Hospitality domains is an advantage, as is experience with multi-location or property-based sites.
- Several years of hands-on SEO experience, including senior-level responsibility for technical strategy; a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Marketing, Information Technology) or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Chennai,



manage priorities independently, and contribute to a collaborative.

What you'll own:

- Technical SEO health across 300+ listings and 48+ location pages — indexing, crawl budget, Core Web Vitals, structured data
- Diagnosing ranking and traffic drops — telling us definitively whether it's an algorithm update, a technical regression, or something else, backed by data
- Page and content architecture across our locations and property categories — deciding what to build, merge, or retire as we expand into new cities
- The organic growth roadmap that takes us from 3K to 10K, and eventually toward 100K
- Making sure we show up where AI Overviews and Google's answer engines are pulling information from, not just the traditional results

What you bring:

- 5-7+ years of hands-on technical SEO experience, with real stories of ranking recoveries or growth you led — not just metrics you reported on
- Deep comfort in Google Search Console, GA4, and Screaming Frog/Ahrefs/SEMrush
- Experience with multi-location, marketplace, or listings-style sites (real estate, hospitality, classifieds, travel)
- The judgment to say "we shouldn't publish this yet" even when there's pressure to just create more content.
