Job Summary The Hosted Operations Engineer is responsible for maintaining, supporting, automation and enhancing hosted infrastructure environments. This role demands a strong background in monitoring, observability, and infrastructure automation, along with hands-on experience managing AWS cloud services.
Key Responsibilities
System Maintenance & Operations
Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to support production systems, ensuring rapid response and resolution of critical incidents.
Monitor hosted environments and ensure high availability and performance.
Execute system upgrades, patches, and preventive maintenance activities.
Test systems during upgrade preparation and after implementation.
Resolve incidents and ensure minimal downtime.
Installation & Configuration
Deploy and configure system software and applications.
Update host network connectivity configurations.
Modify system settings according to security policies and organizational guidelines.
Testing & Validation
Strong automation skill in Ansible, Terraform and Python.
Perform comprehensive testing of system installations and upgrades.
Ensure software and systems operate without errors.
Validate deployments against user and business requirements.
Knowledge of messaging systems (RabbitMQ) and exposure to monitoring and observability tools (Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Grafana)
