Key Responsibilities

- Lead the structural design and delivery of residential and light commercial projects.

- Perform structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete (RCC) and structural steel members.

- Design structural steel connections in accordance with relevant design standards.

- Prepare and review engineering calculations, reports, and structural documentation.

- Produce and review high-quality AutoCAD structural drawings and detailing.

- Coordinate with Australian clients, architects, builders, and consultants through meetings, emails, and phone calls.

- Manage project delivery to ensure quality, accuracy, and deadlines are achieved.

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of structural engineers and drafters.

- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions.

- Deliver technical and management training to improve team capability.

- Review engineering work completed by team members and maintain ProDes quality standards.

- Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, efficiency, and documentation.

- Assist management in planning workloads, allocating resources, and developing engineering procedures.

Mandatory Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

- 68 years of structural engineering experience.

- Excellent spoken and written English, with the confidence to independently conduct meetings with Australian clients.

- Proven experience managing engineering teams, including conducting one-on-one meetings, mentoring, and performance management.





- Experience delivering technical and management training to engineers and drafters.

- Strong experience in reinforced concrete (RCC) design.

- Strong experience in structural steel member design.

- Experience in steel connection design.

- Advanced proficiency in structural analysis and design software for both structural steel and reinforced concrete (RCC) design (e.g. ETABS, STAAD.Pro, SpaceGASS, SAP2000, RISA, or equivalent).

- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD drafting with excellent attention to detail.

- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, design standards, and engineering documentation.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Desirable Skills

- Experience designing to Australian Standards (AS/NZS).

- Experience with residential and light commercial buildings.

- Knowledge of timber and cold-formed steel framing systems.

- Experience using BIM and other structural modelling software.

- Chartered Engineer status or eligibility is an advantage.

- Experience implementing quality assurance procedures and engineering workflows.
