Role Overview

We are building an enterprise-grade, AI-enabled SaaS platform for US Medical Billing / Revenue Cycle Management (RCM). Our solution processes high volumes of clinical, financial, and operational data for healthcare providers and is delivered as a scalable SaaS product complemented by comprehensive Managed Services support.

We are seeking a hands-on Principal Software Architect to define and drive the architectural vision of this mission-critical platform. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in:

- Designing data-intensive distributed systems
- Architecting enterprise SaaS applications
- Building scalable backend systems using Java & Spring Boot
- Engineering robust UI platforms using Angular
- Designing advanced data platforms using Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Delta Tables
- Developing and integrating AI/ML-based solutions
- Strong domain experience in US Medical Billing / RCM

Key Responsibilities Enterprise SaaS Architecture (Healthcare / RCM)

- Architect a scalable, multi-tenant enterprise SaaS platform supporting Medical Billing workflows including:

- Claims lifecycle (837/835)
- Payment posting & reconciliation

- Denial management

- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- KPI engines & executive dashboards
- Design systems capable of handling millions of transactions annually.
- Ensure high availability, performance, data security, and HIPAA compliance.
- Align architecture to support both product scalability and managed services operations.

Data-Intensive System Design (Core Focus)





- Architect high-throughput distributed systems processing large transactional and financial datasets.
- Design microservices-based, event-driven architectures.
- Define strategies for concurrency, resiliency, and performance optimization.
- Optimize system design for analytics-heavy and reporting-intensive workloads.

Data Platform & Databricks Architecture

- Design and implement data lake/Lakehouse architecture using:

- Azure Databricks

- Delta Lake

- Delta Tables
- Architect scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and aggregation.
- Optimize Spark workloads for performance and cost efficiency.
- Design data models supporting real-time KPIs and AI-driven insights.
- Ensure data governance, lineage, observability, and enterprise reliability.

Backend Architecture

- Architect enterprise backend systems using:

- Java (11/17+)

- Spring Boot

- Microservices architecture
- Define API standards, security frameworks (OAuth2, JWT, RBAC), and integration strategies.
- Ensure clean separation of transactional systems and analytical layers.

Frontend Architecture

- Lead scalable and modular UI architecture using Angular.
- Design reusable component libraries for enterprise dashboards.
- Optimize performance for data-heavy workflows and operational users.

Database & Storage Architecture

- Strong expertise in:

- MongoDB
- Relational databases (SQL-based systems)




- Design schema strategies for both transactional and analytical workloads.
- Optimize indexing, sharding, and query performance.
- Define hybrid storage strategies (NoSQL + Relational + Data Lake).

AI & Machine Learning Integration

- Architect AI-enabled capabilities within the Medical Billing platform.
- Experience developing or integrating solutions using:

- Claude

- Gemini

- Other leading AI/LLM providers

- Robust understanding of

- Machine Learning algorithms

- Model lifecycle management

- Feature engineering

- Model deployment pipelines
- Design AI-driven workflows such as denial prediction, anomaly detection, automation, or intelligent claim validation.
- Ensure scalable and secure AI integration within Azure cloud environments.

Cloud & DevOps (Azure)

- Architect cloud-native deployments on Microsoft Azure.
- Define containerization, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, and observability frameworks.
- Drive performance, reliability, scalability, and cost optimization.

Required Experience

- 15 to 17 years of progressive experience in enterprise software development.
- Proven experience as a Software Architect / Principal Engineer.
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Java & Spring Boot

- Angular

- MongoDB

- Azure Cloud
- Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Delta Tables
- ETL / Data engineering pipelines
- Experience in US Medical Billing / Revenue Cycle Management systems is highly preferable.
- Proven experience architecting enterprise-grade SaaS platforms.
- Strong exposure to AI/ML-based solution design and integration.
- Experience building systems that support both product engineering and managed services operations.
