Role : Senior Salesforce Developer MuleSoft IDP Specialist

Full-Time | Remote - 6 MONTHS

About:

We are a strategic technology consulting firm built on modern practices for operational IT. We help organizations get better business results by optimizing their technology, and we do it through a system designed for consistency, transparency, and measurable outcomes.

Our delivery runs through the Digital Factory, an end-to-end operating model that governs how work moves from concept to production. Clients see a transparent pipeline with clear stages. They see working functionality through live Playback demos, not slide decks. Requirements are locked with explicit acceptance criteria before anyone builds. And adoption is built in from day one, not bolted on at the end.

The Role:

The Senior Salesforce Developer, MuleSoft IDP Specialist is a Builder in the Digital Factory, the person who turns locked acceptance criteria into working, demonstrable functionality.

In one line: you are a MuleSoft integration developer with real Salesforce experience, someone who can stand up Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) document actions, tune the AI extraction, and reliably land the structured output on the org's custom objects, with a disciplined exception path for messy documents. You build fast, you build clean, and you build the right way: configuration first, code only when the platform genuinely can't do it declaratively.

You are also exceptional at building in Salesforce with AI. You treat AI tooling as a force multiplier, using it to accelerate design, configuration, code, and testing while keeping a senior developer's judgment firmly in the loop. You know what good output looks like, you know when the AI is wrong, and you ship work you'd put your name on.

Who You Are:

We can teach you the Digital Factory, DevStride, and our delivery methodology. What we can't teach is character and craft, and that's what this role demands above all else.

- Configuration-first by instinct. You see a requirement and your first question is can the platform already do this? You treat custom code as a deliberate exception, not a default, and you can defend every line you write.
- AI-native builder. You're genuinely excellent at building in Salesforce with AI. You use it to move faster without lowering the bar, and you bring senior judgment to everything it produces.
- Integration-first, Salesforce-fluent. You think in APIs, payloads, and transformations,

and you also know how records actually land in Salesforce. You are as comfortable in Anypoint Studio and DataWeave as you are matching output against existing data.
- Exception-minded. You assume documents will be messy and design for it. Confidence thresholds, review queues, retries, and idempotency are how you make the output trustworthy, not afterthoughts you bolt on when something breaks.
- Bias for action. You do whatever it takes, not just enough. When something is blocked, you find a way around it. You don't wait. You don't blame. You move.

What You'll Do:

- Translate locked acceptance criteria into working functionality, favoring declarative configuration (Flow, validation rules, dynamic forms, security model) over custom code.
- Build MuleSoft IDP document actions: custom and pre-built schemas, field configuration, model selection (default NLP, Einstein, GPT-4o, Gemini, Claude), and confidence thresholds.
- Write and iterate natural-language extraction prompts that pull accurate data from semi-structured and handwritten documents.
- Publish actions to Exchange and consume the IDP API in Mule 4 apps using Anypoint Platform and Studio, then deploy and manage them.
- Transform IDP JSON output into Salesforce-shaped payloads with DataWeave.
- Integrate to Salesforce through its APIs, Connected Apps, and the MuleSoft for Flow IDP invocable action, creating or matching records against existing data.
- Design integration patterns that hold up under bad inputs and duplicate calls: REST, OAuth/JWT, error handling, retries, and idempotency, so no document is dropped or double-posted.
- Configure the human-in-the-loop exception path: review queues, thresholds, and reviewer teams.
- Use AI tooling expertly to accelerate design, build, and testing while applying senior judgment to every result.
- Demonstrate completed work in live Playback sessions against acceptance criteria.

Qualifications:

This is a senior, established role. You bring substantial hands-on Salesforce build experience and the judgment to know when configuration beats code,

and the rarer judgment to know the exceptions.

1. Essential:

- MuleSoft IDP product fluency (document actions, schemas, model selection, confidence thresholds).
- Extraction prompt engineering.
- Anypoint Platform with Mule 4 and Anypoint Studio.
- DataWeave.
- Salesforce integration mechanics (APIs, Connected Apps, the MuleSoft for Flow IDP invocable action).
- API and integration-pattern design (REST, OAuth/JWT, error handling, retries, idempotency).
- Human-in-the-loop exception design.

2. Strong plus:

- Data modeling against the org's existing custom objects, reusing what exists rather than rebuilding.
- Mule CI/CD (Anypoint CLI, MUnit), plus awareness of the Gearset and Digital Factory pipeline on the Salesforce side.
- Security and data handling (Einstein Trust Layer, PII and sensitive-data masking).
- Testing discipline, including a sample-document corpus that validates extraction accuracy, not just happy-path integration.

3. Nice to have:

- MuleSoft Composer and RPA for low-code ingestion of scanned or emailed documents.
- Agentforce and MuleSoft for Flow awareness for agent-ready document workflows.
- Manufacturing domain literacy (purchase orders, ASNs, packing slips, quality certificates) so extraction and validation rules make business sense.

4. Also expected at this level:

- Building with AI: demonstrable, current skill building in Salesforce with AI is essential, not a nice-to-have. We want to see how you use AI to build better and faster while keeping quality high.
- Robust command of the declarative platform (Flow, security model, data model design) alongside Apex, LWC, and integration patterns, in a transparent, peer-validated, pipeline-driven delivery model.

Certifications:

- Salesforce Certified MuleSoft Developer I the baseline platform credential.
- MuleSoft Hyperautomation Developer (covers IDP, RPA, and Composer directly) a valuable bonus.
- Platform Developer I/II, Administrator, App Builder expected at this senior level.

Why us AND Remuneration:

We're a team of Creatives who take the work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously. We believe in ownership. You won't find layers of bureaucracy between you and the decisions that matter. Our methodology gives you a clear framework to operate within, and within that framework, you have real autonomy to lead. 3-5 years part time job 800-1000 per hour daily 4-5 hours of work US timing.
