About The Role What you'll be doing As a Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer at ZionStar, you will design and build the backend systems behind our LMS platforms, student portals and CRM integrations. You will own features end to end — from architecture to production — on software that real institutions depend on every day.
Key responsibilities Your day to day Design, build and ship scalable Rails services and APIs
Integrate LMS platforms (Canvas, Moodle, Open edX), CRM and payments
Lead architecture decisions and mentor mid-level engineers
Own quality: testing, code review and clean, maintainable code
Collaborate with product and design in small, senior pods Requirements What we're looking for 5+ years building production Ruby on Rails applications
Strong PostgreSQL, API design and background-job experience A track record of owning features end to end
Clear written communication for a remote, global team Preferred Qualifications Nice to have Experience in education technology or LMS platforms
Familiarity with React and contemporary front-end tooling
