Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with Agile/Scrum team members, including developers and testers, to plan and execute end-to-end testing activities.

- Report to Design Engineering Testing and Test Leads, while coordinating with Product and Project Managers.

- Develop and execute test scripts, manage defects, and ensure comprehensive test coverage for all system components.

- Design and implement test strategies, plans, and reports, focusing on risk-based testing methodologies.

- Create detailed functional test cases for complex requirements and ensure alignment with project objectives.

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance delivery efficiency and optimize testing procedures.

- Communicate effectively with management and peers, both verbally and in writing, to ensure alignment and understanding.

- Ensure adherence to Shell's standard tools and frameworks for test delivery assurance.

- The Senior Python Selenium Tester role is a pivotal position within a consulting environment, located in Bangalore, and is designed for high-level professionals with 6-9 years of experience.

- This role is within a small Agile/Scrum feature team, composed of developers, testers, and other specialists, working closely with the Design Engineering Testing and Test Leads.

- The project focuses on enhancing IT systems, specifically within the a major energy company sector, utilizing Agile methodologies to optimize and manage front office trading activities.

- As a key member of this team, the Senior Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of the software systems through meticulous test planning and execution.





- The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including Test Managers, Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Developers, to ensure comprehensive test coverage and risk-based testing approaches are effectively implemented.

- The ideal candidate will possess solid expertise in Python and Selenium, with experience in QA automation for web applications and REST APIs.

- This role involves significant responsibility for designing and executing test strategies, plans, and cases, as well as managing defects and ensuring that all testing activities align with Shell's standard tools and frameworks.

- Overall, the position demands a proactive and organized individual capable of navigating complex and ambiguous environments, identifying risks, and ensuring timely, quality deliverables.

Requirements

- Minimum 7 years of experience in QA, with at least 4 years in Selenium BDD framework.

- Proficiency in Python for automation testing of web applications and REST APIs.

- Strong understanding of SDLC, manual testing, and the design and execution of both manual and automated test cases.

- Experience with Automation & Quality Engineering Tools/Methods, specifically Selenium and Python.

- Familiarity with BDD & Specflow or Python Behave for behavior-driven development.

- Ability to use source controllers such as GIT/TFS and SQL for database interactions.

- Experience in Salesforce and other relevant platforms is a plus.
