Role Description The Physical Design Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end implementation of digital integrated circuits, focusing on physical design, optimization, and sign-off. Typical day-to-day tasks include floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, and timing closure, while ensuring power, performance, and area targets are met.

The role involves collaborating with RTL, logic, and verification teams to interpret design specifications, debug issues, and refine design architectures. The engineer will perform physical verification,



including DRC, LVS, and other sign-off checks, and prepare documentation and reports for internal reviews and tape-out milestones. This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Bengaluru Area.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Physical Design, including floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, and timing closure.
- Candidates should possess skills in Physical Verification, such as DRC, LVS, and sign-off flows using industry-standard EDA tools.
- Candidates should possess skills in Logic Design and Circuit Design to interpret specifications, analyze trade-offs, and optimize digital circuit implementations.
- Candidates should possess skills in RTL Design, including understanding of HDL (Verilog/SystemVerilog), synthesis constraints, and timing analysis.
- Relevant experience with EDA tools (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor) and familiarity with advanced process nodes is highly beneficial.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, VLSI, or a related field is preferred, along with robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and work on-site in the Greater Bengaluru Area.
