Role Description The Senior Piping Engineer is a full-time role based in Chennai, structured as a hybrid position with both on-site work and some flexibility to work from home. The role involves leading and executing piping design activities, including layout development, routing, and selection of piping components for process plants and utilities.

Responsibilities include performing detailed engineering calculations, conducting piping and pipe stress analysis, reviewing deliverables such as isometrics, GA drawings, and MTOs, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.

The Senior Piping

Engineer will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams,



support 3D model reviews on AutoCAD Plant 3D or similar platforms, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers. The role may also involve supporting project planning, technical documentation, and client interactions to ensure timely and quality project delivery.

Qualifications

Strong proficiency in piping design, including piping layout, routing, and component selection (Piping Design, Piping, Pipe).

Ability to perform detailed engineering calculations related to piping systems, including sizing and hydraulic calculations (Calculations).

Experience in performing stress analysis of piping systems using relevant software and standards (Stress Analysis, Piping, Pipe).

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Hands-on experience with 3D modelling tools, preferably AutoCAD Plant 3D or equivalent plant design software.

Knowledge of international and Indian design codes and standards applicable to piping and process industries.

Proven experience in leading piping engineering activities for EPC or detailed engineering projects.

Robust communication, coordination, and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in hybrid and multidisciplinary team environments.

Prior experience in process industries, offsites, utilities, or European projects is an advantage.
