Job Title: Senior Dynatrace Support Engineer (Observability Lead)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Dynatrace Support Specialist to oversee, maintain, and optimize application performance across our hybrid and multi-cloud environments. In this senior role, you will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Application Performance Monitoring (APM), guiding the engineering and DevOps teams in identifying latency, troubleshooting errors, and optimizing system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

- Advanced Monitoring & Configuration: Architect, configure, and manage Dynatrace SaaS or Managed environments. Execute OneAgent deployments, ActiveGate installations, and custom extensions.
- Incident Management & RCA: Lead L3 production support, performing deep-dive diagnostics using PurePath distributed tracing, service flows, and log analytics. Provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) inputs for critical incidents.
- Dashboarding & Alerting: Design custom dashboards, fine-tune AI-driven anomaly detection thresholds, and implement alerting profiles to reduce false positives.
- Proactive Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks in microservices, databases, and APIs.



Collaborate with development teams to optimize code-level performance and infrastructure resource utilization.
- Automation & CI/CD: Utilize scripting (Shell, Python, or Java) to automate monitoring tasks and integrate observability into CI/CD quality gates.
- Mentorship & Strategy: Mentor junior support staff and act as a strategic advisor to stakeholders regarding software reliability and digital experience monitoring.
- Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Core Dynatrace: 4+ years of hands-on experience with the Dynatrace platform (OneAgent, Davis AI engine, Dashboards, Synthetic Monitoring, RUM).
- APM & Distributed Systems: Deep understanding of Application Performance Monitoring concepts for complex, highly distributed cloud-native and legacy architectures.
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Scripting & OS: Robust proficiency in Linux administration, along with scripting capabilities in Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical thinking, incident management, and communication skills to collaborate with global stakeholders and vendors.
