Role Description The Senior Network Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, highly available network infrastructure to support ETL’s e-Procurement platforms and internal operations. This role involves configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers, as well as monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing traffic flows.

The Senior Network

Engineer will implement network security controls, manage access policies, support compliance with ISO and security standards,



and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure stable connectivity for clients and internal users. Daily responsibilities include handling incident escalations, performing root-cause analysis, maintaining documentation, planning capacity upgrades, and supporting data center and cloud networking. The role also includes mentoring junior engineers, contributing to architecture reviews, and participating in on-call rotations for critical network events.

Qualifications

- Solid skills in core networking (TCP/IP, routing protocols, switching, VLANs, subnetting) and network design for large-scale, high-availability environments.
- Experience with network security technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, access control, and best practices aligned with ISO 27001 or similar standards.
- Hands-on expertise with enterprise network hardware and software (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent devices; load balancers; wireless controllers).
- Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools for performance analysis, fault detection, and capacity planning.
- Experience with data center and cloud networking concepts, including redundant architectures, failover, and disaster recovery.
- Ability to document network architectures, configurations, and procedures clearly, and to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in leading complex network projects, mentoring team members, and handling high-priority incident
