Role Description The Senior Merchandiser is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Kolkata Area. This role involves planning and managing product assortments, pricing, and promotions to maximize sales and profitability across retail channels.

The Senior

Merchandiser will analyze sales data, customer trends, and inventory levels to optimize stock, prevent overstock or shortages, and ensure timely replenishment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with sales, marketing, and store operations teams to execute merchandising strategies, maintain visual standards,



and support customer experience. The role also requires building relationships with vendors, negotiating terms, monitoring market competition, and providing regular performance reports and recommendations to management.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with internal teams, vendors, and retail customers.
- Candidates should possess Sales and Retail expertise to plan assortments, manage inventory, and drive revenue in store and multi-channel environments.
- Candidates should possess Marketing-related skills to support promotional campaigns, product positioning, and brand visibility at the point of sale.
- Ability to analyze sales data, trends, and KPIs, with proficiency in basic MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience in merchandising, retail management, or FMCG/apparel/consumer goods sectors at a senior or supervisory level.
- Solid organizational, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities, with attention to detail and time management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field; advanced certifications in merchandising or retail are an advantage.
- Comfort working on-site in the Greater Kolkata Area and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.
