We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to develop innovative and complex hardware systems for our new avionics, defense, and retail products, taking them all the way from concept to production at scale.
The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience designing and troubleshooting avionics or defense systems from the ground up. Key Roles & Responsibilities Design & Model: Create complex 3D models, engineering drawings, and design solutions utilizing SolidWorks.
Innovate & Collaborate: Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative designs for aerospace, defense, and precision industrial engineering projects.
Document & Test: Write robust functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures while maintaining detailed design documentation and records.
Ensure Compliance: Guarantee all designs comply with strict industry standards and regulations.
Optimize Quality: Participate in design reviews, continuously contribute to the improvement of the design process, and troubleshoot design-related issues efficiently.
Launch Products: Partner seamlessly with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality teams, and external vendors to ensure smooth and successful product launches.
What You
Bring to the Table (Requirements) Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Software Expertise: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in SolidWorks, with a deep understanding of best practices for part design and advanced assemblies.
Technical Leadership: Proven experience leading the detailed mechanical design of complex electro-mechanical systems.
Prototyping Skills: Hands-on experience crafting proof-of-concept models and physical prototypes.
Core Fundamentals: Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering principles, theories, and concepts, with the ability to effectively apply them to product design.
Systems Thinking: Experience evaluating design, performance, and logistical tradeoffs for hardware systems across the Full Lifecycle Development process.
Communication: Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to leadership and write explicit technical documents.
Agile Experience: Comfort and experience working in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
