Role Description The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer is a full-time, in office role based in the Greater Delhi Area. The engineer will be responsible for leading the mechanical design of machines and products, developing concepts, performing detailed design calculations, and preparing engineering documentation.

Daily tasks include creating and revising CAD models and drawings, conducting design reviews, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, procurement, and quality. The role involves troubleshooting design issues, optimizing existing products for performance and cost, and supporting prototype builds and testing.

Engineer will also mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and best practices.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with demonstrated expertise in Design Engineering and Machine Design.
- Proficiency in Product Design, including concept development, detailed engineering, and design-for-manufacture principles.
- Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling and 2D drafting, and familiarity with relevant industry standards.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Experience in industrial or machine design environments, preferably in a senior or lead engineer capacity.
- Ability to interpret specifications, perform basic engineering calculations, and prepare explicit technical documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and guiding junior engineers.
- Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA), tolerance analysis, and material selection is an advantage.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly methods, and quality assurance practices is beneficial.
