As Senior Engineer - Mechanical Design you will be responsible for design & development of Gas turbine & Centrifugal compressor auxiliaries/skid packaging that includes,
- Understanding customer specifications, deriving requirements for the design of various Mechanical Auxiliaries.
- Sizing and selection of various auxiliary equipment such as pumps /motors/ filters/ heat exchangers/strainers/valves.
- Piping design as per ASME B31.3 (pipe sizing, pressure drop calculation, material selection, reviewing piping stress analysis, piping support selection and piping layout design)
- Structural verification using FEA tools such as Ansys.
- Foundation loads calculation and skid lifting design.
- Leading project meetings, and travelling for Kick off / 3D model review meetings with global customers
- Collaborating with external engineering suppliers in the creation & review of basic engineering drawings and 3D models, with knowledge on GD&T.;
- Providing timely communications on significant issues or developments.
- Participating on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues
- Participating as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.
- Work with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Build upon knowledge of critical stakeholders and apply cross-functional learnings to develop competencies
- Assuring proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Fuel your Passion To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a bachelor s / master s/Ph.D in mechanical/Structural Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Static /Rotating equipment design
- Exposure in skid packaging of Gas Turbine and/or centrifugal compressor,
- Exposure to 3D modeling/Detailing tools like UG NX, and Analysis software like Ansys
- Solid experience in Piping domain
- Exposure to FEA Analysis software like Ansys.
- Exposure to API/ASME /NFPA codes.
- Exposure to 3D modeling/Detailing tools like UG NX, GD&T.;
