Job Summary :

The Senior Manager Procurement will be responsible for leading end-to-end procurement activities for Data Center construction projects. The role involves strategic sourcing, vendor development, contract negotiations, cost optimization, procurement planning, and ensuring timely availability of materials and services required for project execution. The incumbent will work closely with Engineering, Projects, Commercial, Contracts, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure procurement excellence while maintaining quality, compliance, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy :

- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project schedules and business objectives.
- Prepare procurement plans based on project milestones and construction schedules.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and value engineering without compromising quality.

Strategic Sourcing:

- Lead sourcing for major Data Center packages including:




- Electrical equipment (Transformers, HT/LT Panels, UPS, DG Sets, Bus Ducts, Cables)
- Mechanical systems (Chillers, CRAH/CRAC Units, Cooling Towers, Pumps)

- Fire Protection Systems

- HVAC Systems
- BMS, DCIM, ELV & Security Systems
- Civil & Structural materials

- MEP consumables
- Float RFQs/RFPs and evaluate techno-commercial bids.
- Conduct commercial negotiations and finalize purchase orders.

Vendor Management:

- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and develop strategic suppliers.
- Build long-term partnerships with OEMs, distributors, and contractors.
- Monitor vendor performance on quality, delivery, pricing, and service.
- Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews.

Contract Management :

- Lead commercial negotiations and contract finalization.
- Ensure contractual compliance and mitigate commercial risks.
- Coordinate with Legal and Contracts teams for agreement execution.

Project Coordination:

- Work closely with Project Managers and Planning teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Track procurement milestones against project schedules.
- Resolve procurement bottlenecks impacting project execution.

Experience:

- 12-20 years of procurement experience in EPC, Data Centers, Mission Critical Infrastructure, Industrial, or Large Commercial Construction.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Center procurement is highly preferred.
- Experience in handling high-value procurement packages exceeding 100 Crores is desirable.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
