Position Title: Senior Manager Finance Controlling

Reports To: Senior Manager / Associate Director – Finance Operations

Location: Mumbai, India

Shift: 7:30 PM IST to 4.30 AM IST(Night Shift)

Experience: 10+ years

Role Description

Sodexo Global Business Services (GBS) is hiring a Senior Manager – Finance Controlling to lead end-to-end finance operations supporting U.S. business units through a Global Business Services delivery model. The role is responsible for managing multiple finance teams, driving operational excellence, ensuring governance and compliance, and partnering with business stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial services.

The incumbent will provide strategic leadership across Finance Operations, drive process transformation, strengthen internal controls, and build high-performing teams while ensuring service delivery against agreed SLAs and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop Managers, Team Leads, and Finance professionals across multiple portfolios.
- Drive workforce planning, succession planning, talent development, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Set performance objectives, monitor KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and build a high-performing, accountable team.
- Coach leaders to strengthen technical, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, innovation, and customer centricity.

Transition & Transformation Management

- Lead end-to-end finance transition projects, including due diligence, process discovery, knowledge transfer, shadowing, reverse shadowing, stabilization, and hypercare.
- Develop transition governance, project plans, risk registers, milestone tracking, and stakeholder communication plans.
- Ensure successful migration of finance processes while maintaining business continuity and service quality.
- Drive standardization, process harmonization, and implementation of global best practices across transitioned processes.
- Partner with Operations, IT, Transformation, and Global Process Owners to support finance transformation initiatives.

Financial Management & Oversight

- Provide strategic oversight of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, month-end close, and business performance across multiple portfolios.
- Ensure financial governance, compliance, internal controls, and policy adherence.
- Review financial performance, identify business risks, and drive corrective actions to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Oversee executive dashboards, financial reviews, and management reporting.

Business Partnering & Stakeholder Support

- Act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to senior leadership, business units, regional finance teams, and global stakeholders.
- Influence strategic business decisions through financial insights, scenario planning, profitability analysis, and performance reviews.




- Lead governance meetings, executive business reviews, and steering committee discussions.
- Manage senior stakeholder relationships and resolve complex operational and financial issues.

Financial Planning & Analysis

- Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, long-range planning, profitability analysis, and financial performance management.
- Drive forecast accuracy, financial modeling and strategic decision support.
- Ensure consistency and integrity of planning assumptions and reporting across portfolios.

Receivables & Billing Support

- Provide governance over receivables, billing operations, and working capital management.
- Monitor billing accuracy, DSO, and collection performance.
- Partner with Operations and Finance teams to resolve complex customer billing and contractual issues.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

- Champion finance transformation, automation, digitalization, AI-driven reporting, and process standardization.
- Drive Lean Six Sigma initiatives to improve productivity, quality, SLA performance, and customer experience.
- Lead ERP implementations, SAP enhancements, reporting automation, and continuous improvement projects.

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

- Present financial performance, business insights, risks, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
- Build collaborative relationships across Finance, Operations, HR, IT, Procurement, and Corporate functions.
- Represent Finance Controlling in leadership forums, governance reviews, client meetings, and transformation programs.

Training & Development

- Establish capability-building programs, leadership development initiatives, and structured learning paths.
- Drive succession planning and talent pipeline development.
- Promote knowledge management, cross-training, and continuous professional development across the function.

Availability During Key Calendar Events

- Provide leadership support during budgeting, forecasting, weekly flash reporting, month-end/year-end close, audits, transitions, and critical business initiatives, ensuring operational continuity and governance.

Education Minimum Degree Requirements: MBA (Finance), CA/CMA (Inter/Qualified), or equivalent Finance qualification.

Preferred Area of Study: Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, Financial Management.

Preferred Experience:

- Experience managing multiple teams within a Global Business Services (GBS), Shared Services, or multinational environment supporting U.S. operations.




- Proven experience in leading end-to-end finance transitions, process migrations, stabilization, and hypercare activities.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, month-end close, governance, business partnering, and financial performance management.
- Experience driving finance transformation, process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Solid experience working with global stakeholders and leading large-scale finance operations across multiple business units or geographies.

- Proven experience leading finance transitions, process migrations, stabilization, and hypercare activities.
- Experience managing SLAs, KPIs, governance, risk, compliance, and audit requirements.
- Continuous improvement mindset with expertise in process standardization, Lean, automation, and finance transformation.

Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of SAP ERP, SAP Fiori, SAP S/4HANA, and financial reporting systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Hyperion, and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, financial modelling, business performance management, and data visualization capabilities.
