Responsibilities

- Oversee daily operation of switchyard equipment (circuit breakers, isolators, CT/PT, busbars).

- Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance of transformers and associated systems.

- Monitor load flow, fault levels, and equipment health using diagnostic tools.

- Supervise engineers and technicians in the switchyard & transformer section.

- Provide training on advanced diagnostic and maintenance practices.

- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

- Plan and execute transformer refurbishments, switchyard expansions, and modernization projects.

- Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, and contractors for technical support.

- Experience in managing the 400 KV switchyard

- Experience in Gas Insulated Switchgear or Gas Insulated Substation

- Experience in Air-Insulated Switchgear

- Experience in managing the Line

Qualifications

Education:

B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (M.E./M.Tech preferred).

Experience:

10–15 years in power plant, utility, or heavy industry electrical systems with at least 5 years in leadership.
