About the Role

We are looking for a passionate GoLang Backend Developer to build and scale the backend systems powering Sphere, our AI-powered networking and event management platform. You will design, develop, and optimize high-performance, scalable backend services that enable real-time communication, intelligent networking, event management, and AI-driven experiences. You'll collaborate closely with Product, Mobile, and AI teams to build reliable, secure, and production-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Go (Golang)

- Build secure, high-performance REST APIs and microservices for web and mobile applications

- Develop business logic for networking, events, user engagement, and real-time communication

- Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and caching strategies

- Integrate third-party services, AI/ML systems, and external APIs

- Build event-driven and asynchronous processing workflows where required

- Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and reliability

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices

- Collaborate closely with Product, Mobile, AI, and Frontend teams to deliver high-quality features

- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture decisions

Required Skills

- 5+ years of backend development experience with at least 3 years of hands-on Go (Golang) development

- Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) and its concurrency model (goroutines, channels)

- Strong understanding of system design, scalable architecture, and distributed systems

- Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices

- Experience designing high-performance, scalable, and low-latency backend systems

- Experience with PostgreSQL (or other relational databases) and query optimization





- Experience with caching technologies such as Redis

- Experience with asynchronous processing and message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar)

- Experience building real-time applications using WebSockets or pub-sub architectures

- Experience implementing authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth, SSO)

- Familiarity with Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines

- Understanding of secure API design, data protection, and backend best practices

- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills

Nice to Have

- Experience with event-driven architecture and distributed systems

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

- Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration

- Experience integrating AI/LLM services or ML-powered applications

- Experience with search technologies (Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Algolia, etc.)

- Exposure to observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, logging, monitoring, tracing)

- Experience working in a startup or product-based SaaS environment
